Paint & Body Tech
Vivid Retro Customs is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented technician to join our growing custom shop. We specialize in classic vehicles, retro modifications, custom builds, and restorations, giving our team the opportunity to work on projects that are anything but ordinary.

The Right Candidate
A great candidate will have basic knowledge or experience in several of the following areas:

Spot welding and splicing new sheet metal

Paint preparation and masking

Rust repair
-
Paint spraying
-
Sanding and blocking
-
Body filler / Bondo
-
Fiberglass repair and fabrication

Installing panels, doors, fenders, and other body components

Seam sealing
-
Metal fabrication — a plus
-
General understanding of automotive body repair and restoration

This is an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, take ownership of your work, and develop the skills needed to build custom vehicles from the ground up.
You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from individual body repairs to complete classic restorations and custom builds. We value people who are willing to learn, take pride in their craftsmanship, and want to continually improve their skills.
What We Offer
We're a small but mighty shop, and we're focused on building the right team and creating opportunities for our technicians to grow with the business.
New technicians will typically begin with a contracted trial period of approximately two months. This allows both you and Vivid Retro Customs to determine the right role, responsibilities, and pay level. Following the trial period, there will be an opportunity to continue in a contracted position or discuss transitioning to full-time employment.
At this time, we are not able to offer employee benefits.
Pay: $20–$50/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contract
Experience: 5+ years preferred
