Vivid Retro Customs is looking for a skilled and motivated automotive technician to join our growing Denver-based custom shop.

We specialize in classic vehicles, retro modifications, custom builds, restorations, and ground-up projects. This is an opportunity to work on unique vehicles and have a real hand in bringing custom builds to life.

The Right Candidate

A great candidate will have experience and confidence in several of the following areas:

• Engine systems, testing, and diagnostics

• General automotive maintenance and repair

• Wiring harnesses and custom electrical accessories

• Suspension systems and installation

• A/C and heating systems

• Troubleshooting diagnostic codes and wiring issues

• Troubleshooting drivability concerns

• Engine and component rebuilds

• Custom projects and ground-up builds

• Reading and understanding automotive systems and schematics

• Working independently while maintaining a high standard of quality

 

The Role

This position requires someone who can take ownership of their work, keep builds moving forward, and manage multiple custom projects at the same time.

It's a great fit for a mechanic who enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in the finished product, and likes finding creative solutions to unique automotive challenges. Because we're a small shop, your skills and ideas can have a direct impact on every build that comes through our doors.

To make sure the position, responsibilities, and compensation are a good fit for both sides, new technicians will typically begin with a contracted trial period of approximately two months. Following the trial period, there will be an opportunity to continue in a contracted position or discuss transitioning to full-time employment.

Pay: $20–$50/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contract
Experience: 5 years preferred
